Joint Nurse Navigator

The Orthopedic & Spine Nurse Navigator serves to be an advocate, educator, and experienced guide for patients, as well as family members, throughout the entire total joint procedure continuum.

  • Provide Pre and Post-Operative total joint surgery education and resources for patients and their families to prepare them and improve outcomes for surgery.
  • Provide expertise as a professional registered nurse with clinical knowledge in joint procedures.
  • Patient Care Coordination with Physicians, Managers, Nursing Staff, Case Management and Physical Therapists.
  • Following surgery, follow up with patients for up to a year while collecting data for quality improvement.
  • The Role includes acting as a resource for nursing staff for routine and complex problem solving, education, and continuous performance improvement efforts.
